IPL
Description
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), is a versatile, non-invasive light therapy used to address various skin concerns. Unlike lasers that use a single, focused wavelength, IPL utilizes broad-spectrum light delivered in short, intense pulses.
This light energy penetrates the skin and is selectively absorbed by specific targets – primarily melanin (pigment in brown spots, sun spots, freckles) and hemoglobin (in small blood vessels causing redness or spider veins).
The IPL breaks down the unwanted pigment, which are then naturally cleared by the body. IPL treatments typically require a series of sessions for optimal results and can be used on the face, neck, chest, hands, and other areas.
